Embley

Are there any Embley parents on here? We are considering it for our child for secondary school and would love to know what you think of it.

They have very good teachers but not such great management.
The school has not met the promised Extra Curricular Activities.
Don't be fooled by what they offer, its not all there ie yes they have the grounds, but it's mostly 'out of bounds' and just there for show, they have a small pool which apparently was built by pupils but they don't really use it much as most of the time they tell pupils it cannot be used.
Although it is a public school, it is very tight in terms of inward investment (poor meals, poor gym kit ...) as most of the profit they make goes to other schools within United Learning. the last straw for us was the Bullying that goes on which is as unnoticed as the organised fights i heard of ! I have taken my child out !

Several children in my daughter’s primary class headed to Embley for secondary, but soon switched back to local comprehensive.
