Suits for sixth form- overweight ds

DS 16 is going to sixth form and the dress code is a dark suit (black/navy/grey). Unfortunately, he is quite short (5ft 3in) and has a big waist (33in) so it is hard to find a suit that fits him form the typical high street retailers. Does anyone have any suggestions?

loadball, have you looked at Next (online shop), they do 33" short in the men's section. They may also have age 16 plus fit in the boy's section.

M&S surely? They do men's 32" and 34" with 29" leg? I think the mistake you are making is that he's on adult sizing now....

I think you're probably right, I have been mainly looking at the kid's section so I'll browse the adult sections and see what I can find.

33in is not especially big tho I agree 5ft 3 is not tall. But maybe get trousers to fit in his waist and you may need to turn them up (I wear 29in and I am 5ft 6).

Yes M&S is good as you can mix and match the sizes for the trousers & jacket. They had suits reduced recently, not sure the offer is still on.
