I have heard from several sources that this school is on the up. Are there any parents on here who can share their views of the school?

@refusetobeasheep, are you going to the holder event on Friday? Maybe they can give you an idea of where most kids come from.

We’re just outside of Kingston, I’m assuming that when they start going out they’ll meet up in Kingston and hang out there?

refusetobeasheep · 05/02/2022 22:15

Yes we're going to the afternoon session on Friday, will see what I can glean then!

Broccolimagic · 07/02/2022 13:47

We’re going to the earlier one. Will be interesting…. the sessions they are doing with the kids sound fun.

Hi - could anyone advise if there is a late bus service from Claremont school? We are a bit far away - I'm wondering what happens if DD stays for eg late netball practice.

When we visited on the open day the Head of PE mentioned he knew the lack of late buses was an issue and had asked the school to think about adding that service.

Maybe you should ask Admissions and see if they have plans to do this.

He mentioned that the K3 stops near the school, but I don’t know if that’s something your DC would be comfortable with.

It would be a bus ride to Kingston and then train to your town..??

@MaitreKarlsson - just to add that when we went to the offer holders’ day they emphasised that the lunch break is long so that children can do clubs at lunchtime because many leave on the bus as soon as school ends. (Come to think of it I think someone mentioned this on here somewhere too - think they said there is info about it on the website.)

@1910username and @Broccolimagic thanks very much, really helpful.

Hi. Just wondered what the pastoral care is like. Was thinking about sending my DD to Boxhill but have heard such dreadful things about the Head and bullying. She’s quiet and quite sensitive. Thanks.

Arisaig1 · 18/12/2022 16:58

Any issues with bullying or are all kids looked after. How is playtime supervision?

BlueTick · 18/12/2022 19:47

Yes I would like to know - would it suit a child who has been bullied in the past? DC is sensitive and kind, not one of life's rough and ready sort (wish that DC was!)
