Internet Safety At Schools

Hey, I'm a cyber security professional trying to understand more about how schools manage the online safety of their pupils and the kinds of issues they encounter/deal with. e.g. cyber bullying, trolling, etc.

I'm just starting out (so don't have anything to sell) but want to ensure I build something that actually helps schools.

If you're a teacher (or maybe a parent) and have any perspectives on what your school does to keep your students safe online, please do post here :)

Secondary teacher here: My current school handles it pretty well (compared to other schools I've worked in), but teenagers will be teenagers - we have constant issues with cyberbullying and inappropriate images. Biggest problem is that students don't realise the consequences - once it's online, ANYONE could end up seeing it FOREVER.

Thanks @riversandhills, that's really interesting. Can I ask for the inappropriate images, is that students sharing images of themselves (e.g. sexting) or generically inappropriate images (e.g. porn)?

Anyone else with any experiences would be greatly welcomed!

Sexting. Makes me terrified for when I have my own kids.
