Secondary school teachers attitudes towards SEN students

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a few secondary school teachers or TA's to complete a short 10 minute, anonymous questionnaire for my Masters dissertation. I am exploring the attitudes and beliefs of secondary school staff towards the inclusion of SEN students. Research indicates that while staff generally support the inclusion of SEN students, they actually find many barriers which prevent the full inclusion of these vulnerable students; I am hoping that, with research, these barriers can be identified and fixed by providing solutions, allowing all students to feel valued and supported during their school journey.

As a parent we have found that the 25% extra time is given but other adjustments that our DC should have been able to access in class (such as written handouts and instructions and feedback in writing) are ignored with some teachers even saying they had not been made aware by LS that these were needed or those that did know saying they "don't do that" as it is not fair on the others (completely missing the point that it is to make it fair for them).

I am sure all the teacher's answering yiur survey will give the "politically correct" answer. A survey amongst parents may feed your research better. Are you planning one of those too?
