DD wants to do Duke of Ed but school wont let her.

Its partly her own fault i know but dd wanted to do the D of E this year.
Trouble is school sent out the letter on the 2 days she was off with a cyst on her eye.
She asked and asked but noone could sort her out a letter and now they are saying she missed the deadline and cant do it.
I have left 2 messages for the teacher to please phone me as it starts this evening, but they haven`t phoned me-so i take it that still means no.
Am i right in thinking its a bit unreasonable ?

Why not go along tonight with her and say that you asumed since you hadn't heard from them that she was in .... a long shot.

I sent my dd in with her signed form today. As there are special circumstances, and you and dd have tried to deal with it (and seemingly been ignored ), they should make an exception.

I would have thought they would be delighted to have another child taking part!

Its for the children only this evening but i will see what happens when i get there.One of those days today - Got 2 other dc opticians appts. and parents evening grrrrrrrr .
