The boy has got a place at Wetherby Senior School for autumn 2021. Interested to hear what people think about this school - academically, socially, sport etc. Please do let share any experiences / impressions / thoughts. Thanks!

I have a son at WSS. It’s 5 years old now and has come a long way. The pastoral care is excellent. Regular seminars for the boys and parents. The school was placed 16th in the league tables in its first GSCE year. Communication is open. Football, rugby, cricket, YAD, gym etc. Active PTA. An all round school with lots of potential.

Hi Yinhing2

Thanks for your comments, that is helpful and I am glad you are happy with the school. Which year is your son in?

Also, please could you let me know where you read the report about the school being 16th in the league tables? Generally, there does not seem to be a lot of information out there about this school and I would like to know more.

My son is sporty, very musical and academically fairly strong, especially on the arts / humanities side. Do you think the school is suitable for such a boy?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Littlegoth! That's good to hear - could you summarise your impressions about the nature of the school, ethos, boys etc.?

Hello @Daddaloopy,

It seems WSS has been quick to give your son an offer. May I know how long it took you for the admission process including entrance exam?

Thanks!

Hi EmiliaD

He did an ISEB pre-test in Year 6 and then had an interview in Year 7 (I think), followed by an unconditional offer.

Are you applying to the school?

The interview should be in year 6, following your ISEB pretest. We have an offer for 2021 since February 2019
