Steiner school

Just wonder if anyone here went to a Steiner school or has sent their children to one. Want to hear about your experience? My 14 dd doesn’t seem to get on with the state school system. So I wonder if she can be benefited if she go to a Steiner school for her GCSEs years. Also I don’t know if this may be a bit too later for her age to join a Steiner school. Just that I feel my dd will cope better to be in a non competitive small school school.

Seriously is that your only choice? Have you spoken to the school? Have you got to the bottom of what the issues are? Etc etc. It won't get any easier anywhere if you do not look at the root of her issues. And Why do you think a Steiner school may be better for her (genuine question) apart from having the impression that it will be an easier system for her.

Hi Stilllookingfor, I m working with the school at the moment. A colleague of mine has sent her dd to a Steiner school they seem very happy with their learning style. When I was at college I had a friend who went to a Steiner school. She seemed very okay and had very good gcse results. I can’t do home education. Other private schools are too expensive. So I m only trying to explore possibilities. We have a Steiner school only about 20 minutes drive away from us. So I just want to see if it can be an option.

It would greatly depend on which Steiner school. The one nearest to us was closed by Ofsted. There are many less results driven schools that aren't Steiner.
