Any Spanish teachers here?

DS1 is moving schools in September. He will be learning Spanish for the first time. As he is joining in year 9, he's interested in a summer course that will help him cover the basics that his classmates will already have studied in years 7 and 8. I have no Spanish, unfortunately (but do have other European languages, so not averse to helping out if I can). Could anyone recommend an online course, app and/or textbook to work through?

Not a teacher but my DC do Spanish. They use the ‘Pasos’ course books which are very self explanatory, plus Linguascope for online learning.

BBC Bitesize has Spanish from beginner through to GCSE.

Thanks @BellaVida and @EwwSprouts

I've ordered the Pasos and set him off on the Bitesize programme.

My daughter is in a similar situation, I've ordered a textbook and she's started doing 10min a day of the duolingo app. And we'll try to find some spanish series or film. Good luck!

If you have any Disney DVDs there is an option on some of them to play them in Spanish & I think if you have Disney + you can do it on there.
