Well today would have been GCSE number 1 dd was feeling quite sad about it as especially her prom dress was delivered on Saturday and is now hanging untouched on the back of the spare room door.

Hmm the Prom for our Dd was 30th June at a country house venue so after yesterday’s announcement of events venues opening in July doesn’t seem like that’s going ahead now.

Dd's prom has been cancelled. We'd bought a dress early from Next. It was £40 so not a huge amount and dd and friends are planning on either hiring a hall or holding it in someone's big garden, whenever it is appropriate. Even if that's in a year or more's time. The dress has a bit of room for growth luckily. Dd is staying for sixth form so hasn't left the school.

Ds would have sat computer science this morning and Religious Studies this afternoon. It's a strange feeling for us because year 11 had been awful for him. He was diagnosed with autism in September last year and since then there had been lots of anxiety and he was also struggling to accept his diagnosis. He has no friends so would not have been attending prom, in that respect he's not missing out like others.

I would like him to move schools for sixth form as his school have been terribly unsupportive (we have yet to hear from form tutor who should have made contact after Easter). I'm not sure he will be able to transition to another sixth form though without even an induction day.

DS would also have sat Computer Science and Religious Studies today.

He spent some of this morning going through the exam rules and regulations with DD (Year 9). This afternoon apparently he and his friends are running an online religious studies quiz. He's definitely trying to cling to vestiges of normal. (He's also offered to sit DD's physics test for her on Wednesday ... which is not really what I meant when I suggested he could help DD with some of her subjects).

No word on prom here; I presume it is cancelled.

Dd would have had 2 RE GCSE exams today

Ds’s school has said that prom will happen at some point but it may need to be adapted
