Hello mums

My son has gained a place in Judd school Tonbridge. I m still debating and cannot make a decision about this as it takes an hour train journey from Rochester to school.

I am desperate to talk to other mum's whose son is already or will be going to Judd this September.

Looking for advice. What are your thoughts about Judd school please? Thank you so much

@KaviRochester
Hi, I am in Rochester too and my son will be heading to Tonbridge School (eventually), he will be joining prep school in Tonbridge for Years 7 & 8 and I also looked at the train journey, I have decided to be dropping him off (initially), takes about 45 mins driving. There appears to be a direct train from Strood to Tonbridge (51 mins) and would consider train journey too. PM me, it would be good to have someone else doing the route and/or car share perhaps

Judd is a sought after school with a good reputation. A larger than average percentage compared to other schools use public transport to get there, and he will make friends on the train.

When you say an hour, is that door-to-door, or just the train? If just the train, you need to factor in getting to the station and waiting for the train.

@Standrewsschool

My worry - is it worth doing this an hour commute every day twice. My son also got an offer at Rochester Maths school (7mins walk from my hour).
Just can't decide between the two.

If Judd is going to bring lots of benefits for my son, I m happy to take the risk and commute but wanting to know if he would get the same benefits at Rochester maths grammar school.

Both really good schools, and I know people who have been to both.
