Hi there, I hope someone can help!!!!
My DS has been ( & very lucky !) offered a place in DAO starting in Sept.
We are based in Islington and we are just trying to figure out how it all works regarding the commute! The walk from the station to the school is pretty far, so what do the kids do? is the train fare £££?
How does it all work in terms of after school activities, their homework etc etc? He also plays a pretty heavy instrument and I’m worried that it will be too much for an 11 year old!
Is there a group of children from Islington that travel together?

Would really appreciate any info! Thanks

Discussion of Ilsington - sic - to DAO travel options over on the 11+ Forum:

Train/ Northern line then bus seems to be popular.

Looking it up on the Great Northern website, an Anytime Day Return for a child, Essex Rd to Potters Bar is £4.35, but a season ticket would presumably be much better value.

Look at the talk forum bit on elevenplusexams- there is a poster called Daogroupie who is the font of all knowledge on DAO and other schools in the area.

@Lightsabre will do, thanks so much
