GCSE point score

Could anybody tell me how you work out your point score from GCSE mocks when applying for 6th form please.
Looked online but keep finding different charts and am not sure which is most current.

Is it best 8? In which case is it not literally add up the scores of your best 8 GCSEs.
It might depend on the school though.

Some schools use an average score rather than the total, just to be awkward. You really need to look at the admissions policy for each individual sixth form. Whatever the overall requirement, there will almost certainly be individual subject reaquirements, e.g. a minimum of grade 8 /9 Maths to take FM.

You’d have to ask the particular 6th form.

All the ones my two applied to just wanted predicted grades for each subject.
