Is it ok to Skype students to teach if school closes?

So we're due to have a meeting at school tomorrow about putting measures in place if the school was to close.

My manager then handed over a sheet on instructions on setting a Skype to teach my y11 students. I didn't ask for any more detail as I was busy today but I hope they don't expect us to put our faces on camera and Skype from our homes? Isn't that quite unreasonable as students can easily screenshot my face if they wanted to?

Any thoughts?

Our school is using zoom.
There are clear guidance rules about how to contact teachers and the dc shouldn't have webcam on.
It seems sensible to me as a parent.
If dc wanted a screen shot of your face I'm sure they could find a way to get one.

Teach on outlook is great. Lots of vituperative classroom ideas. Although it did crash this morning as so many people used it,but they fixed it quickly.

Don’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with.
Personally I don’t see why it can’t all be done by email or classcharts/show my homework or the like.
But then I’m a dinosaur who can barely use a smart phone.

We use google classroom for homework so everything will go on there

School closed here since this morning. Teachers already started using GoogleClassroom, Scratch for programming, Skype (I think teachers can choose whatever they prefer). I believe with Skype you can share your screen without showing your face?
Anyway I'm impressed with our teachers.
