State offer vs Indie Offer

If we accept place at a state school and later we get an offer from private (from the waiting list), would we then withdraw acceptance from state? what is the mechanism from withdrawing from state? thank you.

It's very easy, you just email schools admissions office at your council (copied directly to the school if you've received contact info by the time you withdraw)

Council might ask for info on what education your DC will receive, because they have a duty to check no child is missing from education.
