Hi All,
I am in a dilemma now and I am looking for your advise about what should be my next step. I live in the catchment area of Cheadle Hulme High School and that was in my preference list. But, my son has not been offered a seat in any of the schools in my list and instead he has been offered in Bramhall High School (which is not in the catchment). Looking at the offsted ratings and result of Bramhall I am totally devastated now and blaming myself for moving into Stockport.
I know I will be placed in the waiting list and I dont think we will get a chance. What should I do now? I was so sure that we will get a chance in CHHS being in the catchment area that I have not even applied for Stockport Grammar School. And ofcource the cost of SGS needs to be taken care of.
Can you all please advise me what to do now? How is Bramhall High School? It had a rating of "Required improvement" for quite a few years.

Thanks in advance.

I think a few people have been offered BH who didn't put it down.. but it's not than many years ago, it was a school that loads wanted and two schools nearer the town centre were seen as failing.. it's a decent school in a good area

@bombaychef, thanks for your reply. but I heard the head who was actually improving the school in recent years has resigned and the school is now looking for a new head. So, i feel like its a gamble now to go to that school. It might improve significantly under new head or it might deteriorate. But I dont know, I am so confused now.
