DT coursework

My daughter needs to have an extended time off school due to ill health. She is in year 11with GCSEs coming up this summer. School is sending work and she is well supported, so is in as good place she can be.

However, she still needs to complete her DT coursework. We have some tools at home but I am just not sure if you are allowed to do coursework at home.

Is ill health taken into account with DT coursework?

Usually some work has to be completed in controlled circumstances. School should be able to advise if they can ask exam board for an assessed mark to be used instead.

I think it's possible to have the coursework submission extended in exceptional circumstances.
My dds school had extra sessions after-school to make sure pupils were able to complete their coursework. Most of the actual practical work needs to be done under controlled conditions i.e. with teacher supervision but it may be possible for some of the other parts to be done at home. You need to ask the teachers for advice.
