Mill Hill School

I've got 2 kids at this school now. My impressions are not good. Maybe we've had a very unfortunate series of events, but it seems to me that everything about this place is decidedly second rate. It reminds me of my comprehensive school - slightly shit but nice grounds. Does anyone love it, think it's great? Teaching is mediocre, discipline is lacking, pastoral non existent. Thoughts?

Have a look here. Belmont/Mill Hill are most people's backups at 7, 11 and 13 which affects which kids they take - most for whom it is the first choice are more interested in the sports facilities than top notch academics. makes it very difficult for them to turn it round.

It doesn’t have an academic reputation. Is that the main problem for you?
