Does anyone know how many 11+ places Kings have this year? Offers are out tomorrow

Anecdotally, I have heard of more boys getting interviews than before. I know two boys with interviews at Kings that didn't get interviews at KGS.

I know they are increasing the 11+ intake, but by how many?

I don't think the intake is increasing - they are just restructuring so that the KCJS boys move in to the senior school at 11 rather than 13.

Info they sent me was 60 places for 11+ (plus 80 moving up from KCJS) and then a further 30 places for 13+

Ok. Thank you. So no increase in numbers, just different children do better in different schools' exams. As is normal.

It used to be the other way round - 20-30 places at 11+ and then 60 at 13+, but they wanted to be more accessible to state school leavers so they increased the 11+ intake at the expense of the 13+. This change was about 5 years ago though.

35 places for 13+ and 70 for 11+ was what I was told. I understand their initial intention was to interview 70 for 13+ over 23 and 24 January (which they said so in an email to us in November), but they ended up interviewing 120 over a few more days. I am not sure what prompted the change. Anyone more enlightened out there?

Don't think a lot by all accounts. But also not that much off in terms of £. They hold back most for bursary awards

Very helpful advise from Mycatlovesdreamies... just received 11+ KCS results today. Any more tips of what to prepare for interview and written will be appreciated.
Anyone knows how many called for interview/second stage ?
Will it be the 1st year next year that current KCJS boys will join new boys in Year 7? As I heard previously boys from KCJS don't move at year 7 to senior school so only new boys to senior school, is that correct?
