Commute to St Pauls / Closure of Hammersmith Bridge

My DS is starting in Y9 and we are wondering how the closure of Hammersmith Bridge is having on the daily commute for your DS...
Is there any update from the council / school on when the bridge might re-open, also is the school helping in any way (there was talk of a special shuttle bus across the bridge to ferry boys from the station).
Just trying to anticipate journey time and commute situation....Any replies much appreciated ...

Not a parent at the school but live locally. No vehicles are allowed over the bridge whatsoever, so the school can't be laying on a shuttle bus. Transport for London has authorised the £25m for the repairs but it will take an estimated 3 years (at least, I should think).

This is what St Pauls says on its own website:

Hammersmith Bridge remains closed for the foreseeable future except for pedestrians and cyclists. The school has made adjustments to bus routes and continues to monitor the service during the closure. Parents are updated through regular emails.

The bridge won't reopen for 3/4 years but plenty of boys walk from the tube station and always have done long before the bridge closed - it takes I'd guess about 8 minutes and there's an entrance to the school right by the bridge which is open in the mornings and afternoons, so you don't have to walk all the way round to the main Lonsdale road entrance.

As said by Judy for SPS.
Harrodian run a shuttle bus from the south side of the bridge as it's a bit farther down the road!
