Wellington College Assessment Day 13+

Wellington College prep.....my son has been invited for the Assessment Day for the 13+ entry. The day will involve 'series of collaborative, problem-solving activities'. Can anyone shed any light on this? Anyone with any experience in this areas? Would be helpful. Many thanks

Hi my DD just did it. I will avoid mentioning in details for fairness. But DD said it was fun and she made some friends there. It was a good opportunity for children to experience the life at Wellington. It is not something you can prepare.

An example I can remember being told from there. A round table discussion with a list of 10 potential patients with different things wrong with them and the group were asked to discuss and agree on the order of priority they should be treated in an NHS hospital. I thought it sounded fascinating and yet very challenging for 10 year olds to do. Especially those from overseas who had to have the 'NHS' explained to them.
