Posting here for traffic - 18yo about to do A-levels in May/June wants a weekend job for extra cash. Min wage is £4.15 ph, she would no one day a week eg waitressing.

I'm wondering how many other 18 year olds have weekend jobs?

Tia all!

DD worked from just after the beginning of year 12 until the end of April of year 13. One full shift a week plus ad hoc shifts in the holidays and compulsory paid training sessions once a month. Qualified pool lifeguard, though, for which the hourly rate locally was over £7. Some of her friends did continue working into the exam period.

I suppose it sort of depends how she usually uses the time which will be taken up by the job. If it would mean tearing herself away from a carefully planned and much needed revision schedule, perhaps not, but if she would otherwise just have spent time 'chilling', everything else sorted, and she doesn't mind giving that up, possibly.
