Anyone heard of Guildford High school 11+ result yet - 2020 entry

Eagerly waiting for GHS result.Them mentined in 2 weeks. Just wondering if someone received any info yet. Tried to call school but couldnt get through.
Last year, letters came on Staurday.

Post has arrived. But no letter from GHS.

Many congratulations PinkBT for sports scholarship and getting GHS offer. It will be difficult choice but certainly anyone would love to be in this situation.

Post came on Saturday we received offer on the waiting list. Awaiting to hear back from admissions to understand what the position is with this. Does anyone have experience with this please. What are the chances of getting an offer. I understand they always 'over offer' does this not imply chances of wait list are very unlikely. How many spaces do they offer on waiting list. Appreciate any input it's been a long agonising weekend.

Mamma2one - it really depends on the year as to how far if at all the school will use the waiting list. I think it's becoming increasingly difficult for schools to work out how many to offer to as there are people applying increasingly from SW London in addition to the slightly more local applicants.
It also depends what numbers the schools are left with once they have had all their acceptances and what the overall numbers are in the school.

We went through it with DS last year and once the letters had been out for a week or so they gave us a very accurate idea of where we were on the list.

Hope you aren't kept waiting for too long and that you've got other offers so that at least you know you've got a place you can accept somewhere.

We are in the same boat unfortunately.
Waiting list from GHS and offer from St Catherine.
Difficult to commute for St Catherine but that is the only backup we have :-(...
Not sure for the waiting list and fingers crossed at least there is some hope!
