A level revision courses

First time poster, please be gentle Smile. I'm looking for some advice on A level revision courses to help my son who is struggling with his maths A level and I think would benefit from extra support and confidence boost. I've looked at some previous old thread and a few names keep cropping up, but does anyone have any recent experiences/recommendations for providers? Based in SW London, but travel not out of the question.

Justin Craig run courses at Kings College School Wimbledon and sometimes at Surbiton High as well. DS's have been on courses and have both been very happy with them, I was happy because I knew that they had been revising all day. DD is very hardworking and hasn't been but may go for one A level subject for extra support. The quality of any course will depend on the quality of the teaching and JC monitor their courses throughout and have a course director who can make an immediate change if there is a problem. That is important because time is of the essense and a refund for a crap course is no use to an A level student sitting exams in a few weeks time.

The main alternative in SW London is MPW which is actually owned by JC or visa versa. The courses are longer and much more expensive but they are in South Ken which is lovely. It was a very popular choice with the resitters from DS1's school and they all did very well second time around so the teaching must be good.

PM me if you want specifics.

Mine went to a residential one in Oxford. I forget the name but it was held at St Edwards School.

Hey there. I'm based in the Cotswolds. Obviously. I'm looking at A-level and maybe also GCSE courses for mine, but tbh, have not found the time yet. Any ideas for my area? Do they do all subjects? Was it easy to book? I'm still waiting for the school to get back to us on this, I did ask... Apparently my younger one doesn't need it, but I'm not sure. He doesn't want to go. Any experiences anyone can share?

This is a list of JC current centres that no longer includes Surbiton High so ignore that from my earlier post. There will be another company that covers the Cotswolds if they don't and hopefully someone local to you will post.

I wouldn't send the younger one if he doesn't need it unless you work FT, he is incredibly lazy and you can easily afford it. I always just call JC when I want something as it's quicker than trawling through a website and the staff sound "mother age" and do understand different board requirements etc.

That's great. Thanks. Any other ideas or experiences out there?

I've now booked for one of my for A levels with Justin Craig. Really nice and easy. I also found this article helpful, as I had no idea what to look out for, really.

Good luck to all the others out there who are going through GCSEs and A levels with theirs.
