Is anyone else eagerly awaiting the school allocations?

Applying for a secondary school place by the 31st October and not finding out until the beginning of March is such a horrible wait! Everyone is in the same position of wanting their child to get into the best school and get the best education. I think it's because it's my eldest and will likely determine where my other children go too which is making me desperate to find out asap! No really point to my thread just venting my frustrations.. And to those in the same boat you are not alone!

I'm past that, but if there is doubt about getting your preferred school, please be positive to your DC about the other alternatives.

I will be positive no matter the outcome. It will be scary enough going up into secondary school already for him as the school he is in now is quite small, so any school he goes to is going to be a big shock! I just want to know! Feels like I have been waiting forever xx

Remember that everyone wants the best for their child, but not everyone's child and therefore "best" is the same!

For me it's Schrodinger's school application. Until I log in (and I think for us in London it's 5pm onwards on the 2nd because 1st is a Sunday?), we could have any of them and I am OK with not knowing!

There is massive differences in some of the schools I've applied him to performance wise. I guess whatever it will be okay really, just not ideal!

I have no idea what the date in March is when we find out? Did google it the other day but didn’t have any luck. A few more weeks and we’ll know. I quite like not knowing as otherwise it will feel too real. I don’t think either of us are ready for this yet 😢

2nd March for me too.. I totally get what you mean about it being too real, think I will be more nervous than him haha xx
