I think pm exam would be too exhausting if a child did an exam am?

It probably is too much for most children. However, if it's an 11+ exam for a selective school my feeling is that they're going to want to test resiliance and application as well as the ability to complete the exam. If they're entrance exams for separate, very highly sought after and competitive schools part of the answer why the highest attainment is achieved by students who sit both exams might well be because only the most able enter both exams.

The two schools are within walking distance of each other, across Hammersmith Bridge, then along the river. Take a packed lunch and give him a brisk walk.

They are also not ‘first past the post’. Schools select on a range of characteristics, resilience being one. Make them aware that it is the second exam of the day, but don’t make a fuss. They will expect a new Yr 7 child to be able to cope with quite a heavy full day of demanding timetabled lessons plus homework. If they can’t cope with two exams on the same day, schools will worry that they would struggle.

It is very likely that boys sitting SPS did well in the LU exam. SPS is one of the most selective schools in London. Only the top of the cohort will try, probably using LU as back up. Whereas others sitting LU may view LU as a ‘stretch’ school and perform less well.

I think it is too much but know the schools in question do not offer any alternative. Hopefully that’s it though for the rest of the week?!

it was to much, my DS was exhausted inthe afternoon, said finished all exams early, and I knew it was a sign he just wanted to end it...I hsould have chosen just 1 preferable school and sit 1 exam...
