MFL Speaking exam - how long?

Dd will have her French mock speaking exam tomorrow. I have had a look at the timetable for the day which has all the students and their exam times on it and it seems that exams are all 10 minutes apart. Dd thinks the exam is 12 minutes long, and we checked on the exam board website which says 12 minutes preparation time plus 10-12 minutes exam time.
How does this work, then? Shouldn’t the school give everybody the 12 minutes? Realistically with people getting in and out of the exam room dd will not have 12 minutes for the exam.
She is also super anxious and might need a minute to calm herself down.
I think the exams will be very rushed. Who should I raise my concerns with? Head of Languages? Head of Year? Or am I being precious?

Foundation is shorter. It may average out.

It could be a miscommunication between exams and MFL.

Either way, it needs fixing for the real thing. A polite email to head of languages will sort it out.

Assuming it's AQA, foundation speaking exams are only 7-9 minutes long, with a shorter prep time too, so unless no one in the cohort is doing F tier (unlikely unless a selective school) then the timings will even out over the day.

Don't let her get too stressed, IME students do better than they expect to at speaking. The teacher wants them to do well too. Good luck to her and tell her to remember her verbs!
