Can anyone help with Parmiters entrance exam? Has anyone managed to get in via the academic route? And if so, any tips are greatly received! We are starting in year 5 with a tutor once a week but it is sounding like most people do a lot more, a lot earlier.

My older son sat the Parmiters exam and passed. We did Bond books and then tutoring from Y5 once a week. He was pretty bright though, usually in the top 3 in his class.

Thank you. Can you recommend a tutor please?

Hi Mellicauli, that is great, can I ask if your son is enjoying Parmiters and what you think about the school as a current parent? Is the pastoral care good? Thanks!

He doesn't go to Parmiters, he also got into QE Barnet and decided to go there. I do know several Parmiters parents who are very happy with the school.

Thank you, that is really helpful. Do you think it’s a bit odd not having friends from school that near you? Do they feel a bit left out because of that?

Ds got into Parmiter’s but we decided not to take the place in the end because of the long commute and the potential for friends to live all over the place. He now goes to our local outstanding secondary and is really enjoying having all of his friends close by.

OP, if you've not done so already, I'd have a look/ post on the South West Herts section of the 11 Plus forum too
