Collective Worship court case collapses

This has got to be good news for people who are sick of their kids having to put up with Collective Worship but still want them to have all the other positive aspects of school assemblies: amp.theguardian.com/education/2019/nov/20/oxfordshire-parents-win-right-to-prayer-free-school-assembly

It's just a shame it didn't get to court, as that would have made much bigger headlines and made schools more likely to sit up and take notice faster.

It’s a step in the right direction but has significant limitations. What has been agreed ought to be a permanent provision for all schools. Instead what we have is a temporary arrangement for that one school which will end when this family leaves. There are problems like this with many of the schools in West Oxfordshire. Kids ought to be able to go to school without enduring one iota of other people’s religion.
