Kingham Hill or Sibford

Hi, does anyone have current/ recent experience of Kingham Hill or Sibford Schools in Oxfordshire? Really struggling to choose between them for our son. He's average academically, very shy, loves the outdoors, and quite sporty. He would be a full boarder. Which school would you choose and why? Tks

My two are at KHS. Both full boarders. Love it. One of mine was v shy when they started and he has really blossomed. Looked at Sibford (as I was at a quaker school myself) but prefer the larger number of boarders at KHS. Feel free to PM me.

Kingham Hill not great in my opinion. The pastoral care is a bit lacking and staff over strict IMHO.

Sibford is a calm school, but small boarding house mostly full of overseas pupils. Sport is generally not taken seriously. Kingham Hill has a lot of military kids/Americans so can be full on and pastoral care can be hit or miss.
Bloxham is very much the better option all round, houses are small enough to feel part of the family and get close friends. Sport is also taken seriously if you are sporty.

I’d agree there. I truly wish I’d sent my child to Bloxham - I only ever hear good things about it and the kids seem very happy too.
