Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help. We live in NI and are hoping to move to England in the new year. My daughter is currently studying Food Nutrition Science for her AS Level exams but I'm struggling to find out if this is offered at AS level in England? Any info would be much appreciated - thanks.

from what i understand food technology and nutrition isn't examined any more for A or AS level (link)

Very few places offer any AS levels anymore as since the A levels have become a 2 year linear course, there is no advantage to taking AS levels. They don't count towards the A level.

Due to A level reforms, Food technology and related subjects e.g. Home Economics/Nutrition are no longer options at either AS or A level in England.
It may be possible to take a level 3 BTEC instead, but that depends on whether the sixth form has this option alongside A levels.

It's pretty bad for her - can you delay your move till the summer and try and get her to restart completely next September?
