Distance criteria - when is it assessed?

We were planning to move closer to our preferred secondary, but have just heard that our buyer has pulled out Angry

So we now need to decide whether we try to move after 31 October but I cant figure out from the info online when the key date is, i.e. if we move before the distances are measured can we update our application or are we stuck with our current address.

Does anyone know is there a uniform rule on this or does it vary from council to council?

If we'll be assessed based on our address at 31 October, even though we're closer, we risk not getting in and it may be better to stay where we are

Ring your coucil and ask for advice.. It may go through as a late application which is a pain.. I think you cannot apply online after the 31st but you can do late paper applications. That's how my coucil works but you would need to ask them as it may vary x
