Does anyone know how many girls usually sit for Tiffin Girls Stage One?

I had heard 1800 or so, but we've just got DD's registration email through, and she is a desk number 2300+, surname middle of alphabet, and still in the morning first sitting.

Around 1400 for the last 2 years:

She is sitting it anyway, regardless of the answer, but I am just quite intrigued, and DD is panicking that there is no chance of getting at all now, despite all her hard work and preparation.

I had a similar thought when I saw desk number 2100+ on my dd’s email yesterday! I’m hoping it doesn’t translate into candidates. She’s about 1/4 way through the alphabet. There can’t possibly be such a jump in applications, it must be to do with a numbering system.

For those who sat previously, any tips for how early to get there for the 8am session? Is it possible to find a parking space anywhere nearby? The letter mentioned s Sainsbury’s car park.

I’m surprised it’s that low. Around 3,000 girls sat the first round test for the Sutton grammars this week, only a few miles away.
