Hi DD is doing 11 plus right now and we have gone to see
NLCS and Habs girls, DD likes NLCS but if we do private for first daughter we will have to do private for second daughter

Thats circa 40k a year which is no joke, I would really like not to be under that pressure but at same time want to give my daughters the best education

At same we drove around Parmiters as we live in Bricketwood and the school looks very impressive for a state school. Wife and I really considering it

Wonder what people think

I dont know Parmiters personally but had a look at compare schools and they have loads of high performers for a non selective school. Looks like they would be great for a high achiever which I'm assuming your daughter is if youre looking at NLCS. Their results are better than some privates. If you're in the catchment I would definitely try it and if its not working out move to a private at 13.
For 40k a year you can provide your daughters the most amazing holidays and experiences. Its for you to weigh up the pros and cons of that really. And for that amount you could even put it away for them to have a deposit for a house. It would be different if your state options were dire.

Malmontar, the school is part selective. Well, you do have a great state option. It's a personal decision whether you go down the independent route or stick to the excellent comp.

I mean only you know your financial situation exactly and how important private schooling is to you.

oh that explains it. I mean they only had 5 kids who were low prior attainers out of 208... I would class that as pretty much grammar so as previous posters have said, it is up to you if NLCS is worth the 40k a year compared to this school. I think your girls would get the same results as in NLCS, I would look at what extras they have to offer to justify the cost. As Parmiters is so selective you are going to have a very similar demographic as NLCS.
