Holmwood House - Colchester

Hello Mums,

We will be moving to Colchester as my son has got a place confirmed in the local grammar school, i'm looking for a school place for my youngest kid and we came across this Holmwood House school. If you have any feedback about this school, please can you share your feedback.

The facility of the schools is great and they concentrate both on academic and sports, but we would be happy with any feedback firsthand experience details from any parents sending their kids to this school.

Just bumping this for you, OP. Anyone have any thoughts about this school?

It's a lovely looking prep school. I have taught a student from there who was utterly delightful and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. His mother was very happy with the school. It is the only prep in Colchester that goes up to year 8, I'm not sure what the impact is on applications. It's facilities are outstanding.
If you're considering any private, Colchester High school and Oxford House both just a few doors closer to town than the boys Grammar are also worth a look. Most HH students remain in the independent sector I believe.
