Just thinking about when and how to start preparing my 8 year old DD.

When did you start preparing and how much time did you devote?

Any resources apart from the bonds books?

we started prep in year 5, using the bond books (the 10 minute papers were great). we also used these cards in the car. at 8,i would focus on the times tables and spelling, so they are both solid when you are revising later on

Thank you sleep did you do 10 minutes a night? Use a private tutor at all?

Which schools did you apply for?

we have moved from the area now (so didn't take up the school place) but applied for HABS and North London Collegiate. We did 10 minutes a night of either maths or english, provided she didnt have other homework for those subjects. she didn't have tutor for the 11+ x
