GCSE English Revision for Retake

Pippa98 · 28/08/2019 08:25

My Dear Daughter has failed her GCSE English but is retaking in November. This is very disheartening for her, and so I was wondering if there was anything out there to help her for the retake, that isn't the standard guides?

Thanks!

Search Mr Bruff online. My DS struggled with English and we used his podcasts and documents which really helped. I worked through them with him which I think really helps if your DC finds it difficult.

Have you asked for a copy of her papers? Then you can see which areas she lost marks in.

My DS failed his GCSE English last year despite all his hard work and after a bit of digging I found a company called Mosaic English who offer work shops with actual examiners who are kind and really seem to care if you pass or not. They also have really simple and easy to use revision guides that my DS found a lot easier to follow then the CGP books. I could not recommend them enough. www.mosaicenglish.co.uk
