Lacrosse goggle for shortsighted teen

Hi all,
Could anyone give us some advice please as DD has to play lacrosse at her new school and she is wearing glasses. She has tried contact lenses and we have ordered a larger lacrosse goggle to wear on top of her glasses but she finds both uncomfortably.
Is there any better solution here please?

I did lacrosse at school and am pretty sure I must have just worn my glasses. I am extremely short sighted so couldn't have seen to walk to the playing fields without them so must have done. definitely no goggles or anything.

mind I did spend most of the time trying to get out of playing...

Could she cope with ortho K lenses? These are worn at night as you sleep so that you don't have to wear anything during the day.
They have been great for my daughter with ASD.

I would say she may need to try contacts.

Goggles are essential in Lax these days.

Not sure what lacrosse specific goggles are like but she can get Bollé sports specs. Also RFU? (Rugby Union people) are trailing or have just finished trailing a rugby prescription goggle. A good independent optician should be able to help you out.

Or could she wear prescription swimming goggles?!

I think I would just send her with the uncomfortable ones she has for now, and say that you will replace them when you can find something better. Her PE teacher or classmates may well know the right models or brands and it'll be easier to solve once she has started. They are not going to be doing serious running or whacking each other in the first 3 weeks of lax.

At my boarding school anyone who arrived without a lax stick or gloves etc could buy them through the school.

They didn't have goggles in my day either but times change.

@FiveHoursSleep: We saw ortho K specialist few years ago but it was not suitable for her as at that time she's already had very high prescriptions. We will wait until she can do a laser surgery.
