York Bishopthorpe Rd catchment

Hi everyone,

If you live in or around Bishopthorpe Road where do you go to secondary school? I know it’s in catchment for Millthorpe but does anyone ever go to
Arch Bishops or Fulford from there?

Also, how are knavesmire and scarcroft since becoming academies and are they impossible to get into? I’m transferring a yr 2 and a yr 5

You’d be lucky for Fulford without any other circumstances (LAC, SEN, etc). Arches might be possible but getting there from Bishy road would be a trek in the morning. That said I know that Stockton Lane was too far from Arches last year. There are church places for Arches but catchment parish is prioritised.

Millthorpe is fine, and unless you are c of e or catholic it will be your best choice on that side of the city. A good school.
