Oxted School, Destafford and Oasis Academy Coulsdon

Hi all, I was wondering whether anyone had any experiences that they could share of Oxted School, Destafford and /or Oasis Academy Coulsdon whether positive or negative? I have looked at ofsted reports and league tables but obviously there is more to a school than this so was looking for some real experiences. Many thanks.

Further to the above, I've heard that Oxted has apparently gone down hill and that a high number of staff have left in the last year? But don't really have much to substantiate that with. They still seem to manage to get ok overall results although their progress 8 score is below average and their absence rate seems to be quite high. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Destafford results didn't look too impressive tbh, not sure why but is it a nice school? Their absence rate again seems high. Oasis seems to get ok results on par with Oxted but has a much better progress 8 score and a much lower rate of absence. However the children seem very lively. Any info/experience on any of these schools would be appreacited.

Oxted has a new head who seems to be doing OK, the school itself is making a lot more effort to interact with parents (which was one of the issues in the last Ofsted). There was a big churn of staff when it became an academy (which isn't unusual I think); the changeover wasn't handled especially well by the governors, which caused a lot of disquiet locally. But, we've been pretty happy with it so far, with the DC getting good exam results, and having enjoyed themselves in different ways. Book a visit and see if it feels right for you, OP.
