We are registering for 13+ and the form is asking what other schools we are applying to...

I am not sure if I need to put all schools I am applying to? Why would this question be on the registration form?

Thank you

If it is a test like the 11+, to share the results with the other schools? I live in a super-selective 11+ area and you apply to sit the test at one school and then tick boxes to share the result with other schools. Is it something similar?

This is also a question on the 11+ private applications and I’m not sure which schools to mention ... also not totally decided on what we’ll apply to. I’m concerned about conclusions they’ll jump to depending on what schools I list and don’t want it to hamper the chances of getting an offer. How does it affect their offers? Grateful for advice! I’m happy to be honest but there’s space for 3 or 4 schools and we’ll apply to 5 or 6 (we’re in London so ultra competitive!) so do I list our favourites (which happen to be v academic) or a range from most selective to medium selective?

Just put a selection of 2-3 others to give the registrar an idea of what your intentions are. To put it in perspective at SHS they ask the girls to list their other schools in a question on the final exam paper and at Kingston Grammar and St John's Leatherhead they ask the question in the interview.

I put what we were definitely doing (three plus Tiffin) plus a ‘and we are considering whether to also apply for...’ another two. I assume it’s so they can manage their (over) offers.

They use it to see how likely you are to accept their offer.

Admissions is a nightmare - how on earth can they get the offer numbers right without moving to a city of london girls style "your offer is valid only until we are full"

OP someone has posted a similar question on the Education Board. You might want to look at replies there.
