Ardingly/Epsom/Charterhouse

Hello,

Does anyone have any knowledge of or children at any of these schools? If so, any information good or bad is greatly appreciated. We have offers from all three after our CE exams. I have twin boys who will be weekly boarding. One slightly more academic than the other. Both quite sporty. Would like them in the same place. Do not want a hot house. Would like them gently pushed with a nice environment. Not completely sold on single sex either which likely rules one out. Help!

I’ve only heard good things about Epsom, especially for sporty ones though bright ones too. Can’t help with the others though. Good luck - it’s a nice position to be in!

Have knowledge of Epsom. Good mix of day and boarders (plenty of weekly). Academically strong. Kids expected to work hard but also expected to do loads of other stuff too. Definitely not a hot house. Loads of stuff going on. Sport, drama, music, CCF, d of e, debating, house activities etc. Teachers all v involved with kids. Good pastoral care though Housemasters/mistresses and matrons. House system strong. Happy and confident kids.
