You must have done Edexcel? AQA had the captain for Macbeth. Good call though just wonder what the question could be

Seriously tho I am saying Sheila and social responsibility/guilt. Done power and conflict poems and hoping for loss or brutality.

Who knows! Ds doing the same 2. He was pleased with Paper 1 (Macbeth and J&H). The only thing I’m fairly certain of is that the poem won’t be Singh Song!

Edexcel - the board I teach - I reckon Fred and the theme of celebrations for A Christmas Carol, and Poppies as the named poem. Though who knows, after the Porter last week!

Aqa - my 16yo daughter's board (been fun I our house recently!) - I think Jack and violence for Lord of the F, and London for the named poem.

I doubt there would be a question on just Edna but there is likely to be one of how women are presented (at some point, not necessarily this year!), so it's worth writing about how Edna's place in society = her place in the play as well as the other 3 women.

Yeah I called it with Sheila, poem was war photographer and question on effects of war (so, Remains, everyone?) not too bad at all

What was the the love and relationship poem?

If last year's poetry section was anything to go by... the same question they used on the specimen paper for one set of poems but a completely new question for the other set.

DS1 and I managed to predict the modern texts questions fairly accurately in 2016 (we narrowed it down to two possible options for each, and one of those came up for each novel) but we had several years of A* - G past papers as a reference.
