Has anyone got any feedback or thoughts about this school?

Thank you.

I know it's a bit late now but if anyone wants to know more about Bales College please let me know. My DD went there as she came from another country and was the only place that was ready to take her on in the middle of the GCSE course. Teaching wise the school definitely has some very strong departments (History, Geography, Sciences, English) but also some very weak ones. It is a great place to go to if for some reason one needs great individual attention. They do retakes for more or less every school-minded pupil as well as trying to help students with English as a 2nd language.

Socially, your dc might have to lose if they go there. There are less then 100 students in the secondary school and almost no extra-curriculars. As I said, it is a great place to go to for a one or two year cramming session but I wouldn't advise anyone to stay for a longer period.

Hope this helps.

This is weird. I responded to your post earlier and you responded to one of mine after 8 years and several usernames/registrations.

Oh wow! This is such a weird coincidence. So did your dd/ds go to this school?

Unfortunately, yes, for one year only.
