Thoughts on DD options?

She is currently in year 9 and has decided to do:

Compulsory:

Double science
English language
English literature
Maths

Options:
Geography
French
Media Studies
Spanish

At her school, they have to do science, english and maths as well as either geography or history and an MFL (french, or the brighter ones can pich spanish/german depending on which they do in y8 and y9) and then 2 options.

She is a bright girl, but has become a little lazy with revision recently. Predicted 7s in most subjects, except for 6 in maths and 8 in english.

What does she want to do ?

What does she enjoy?

Our DD is choosing hers. My only stipulation was that one of them had to be for enjoyment / something beneficial for her wellbeing.

I can't see what the problem is?

She's even got EBacc and an extra MFL.

Nice solid choices.

Media studies can be enjoyable and some dc find languages enjoyable! I would only add that there is no “arts” subject. So no art,music, dance, drama etc. Other than that, looks good to me! Apart from arts, no avenues closed off.
