Secondary schools all see quite far. Where do Lady Bay kids go to secondary school? There is a primary which seems to be a feeder for Rushcliffecschool but it seems far

Hi go team. A lot of lady bay kids go to Rushcliffe school as it is currently a feeder. Keyword currently as I'm unsure how long that will be the case.

Toot Hill or West Bridgford? Both meant to be great schools as is Rushcliffe. Just wanted to say you have amazing state options your side of the river, I live in a different area but same city, all our options are dire!

Girlicome we actually live in Hackney at the moment but in a 2 bed flat with 2 kids (6 and 4) and need to stat thinking about moving. Could stretch to a small 3 bed house where we are but Nottingham is an option as dh has friends and some family there and my work have an office.

I'm not familiar with feeder school systems as admission is by (tiny) catchment here. Schools are just as good but 4 bed house is 1million+ versus around £450k for equivalent in lady bay. Have considered Sherwood but we all enjoy canoeing, rowing, cricket etc so would be ideal living near the waterspouts centre.

Also lady bay primary looks lovely but I doubt there will be spaces. Spaces always come up in Hackney schools as its a transient population by and large but communities in places like lady bay I guess are more settled.

@goteam you would be much much better buying West Bridgford/Lady Bay side of town if only for the secondary schools. Rushcliffe, Toot Hill, West Bridgford are the top state secondary schools in Nottingham. We live just a few miles from Sherwood in a lovely area, the primaries are fab but the secondaries are awful. There is one ofsted outstanding but it seems to be resting on its laurels from an inspection 6 years ago and noone gets in out of catchment. Sherwood isnt catchment for it. DD is going private, I wish we d had the sense to look at moving across the river a couple of years ago. Nottinghamshire is lovely, there is so much to do, lovely country parks, great motorway links to lots of other places too. I don't like the city centre but the surrounding countryside is great!

Goteam, if you see this, can I ask whether you made the move and if so, where you landed? We’re considering a move to WB for very similar reasons and would love to hear your experience!
