I was just commenting (from my own experience with having put 2 children through GCSEs recently) that study leave (how the hell was I supposed to know that they had banned study leave since last year) was only a few weeks away then exams finish before the last Friday in June. Are you still meant to send your dc to school each day even though there are no lessons. If there are lessons what is meant to be taught.

I have suggested HE and bringing his study leave forward.
The op hasn’t been back

But not listening to any one else and just wanting to argue with people who were actually correct

Ok, back to the point. Do we know why Ops dc is refusing school? Has it started suddely or has an attendance aleats been an issue. DS (17) has been a refuser pretty much all the way through secondary unti last year when he found he was good at music, found his place and his confidence and made some friends. The Guidance dept were a huge help but we had sone epic battles with him at times. So glad those days are over
