If you were offered a waiting list place

Did the LA ring you? Or was it a letter?

All acceptance slips had to be in by Friday just gone here, waiting lists come out on 25th.

Presumably then there'll be a second round of offers, because there's bound to be a handful in each school that turn down the place.

The LA won't tell me anything other than 'ring on Monday 25th'.

The school registrar rang me. Then I had to alert the LA.

I got a letter confirming my DS was on the waiting list late March so I called to ask the position. It was quite high, so I figured he would get a place as a number of children would go private. The confirmations were expected two weeks after that so I left it a week and asked the LA via email if there was an update. They replied that morning saying he had a place. 😀

We got an offer from the waiting list via email. I had to accept by email and then being paranoid I asked if the man would (via email) confirm that he'd received my acceptance! (The whole process sends you slightly bonkers I think.)

We received a letter from the school and the 2 days later a letter from the LA.
