GCSE maths in wales - what exam boards - HELP!

| need to get a B in GCSE maths to be able to apply for a PGCE to become a primary school teacher. All the exams boards I have found talk about getting a grade 1 to 9 - someone told me that the exam boards in Wales still grade at A to E (or whatever the lowest grade is). I have only quite recently moved to Wales so no familiar with GCSes here - and it is a very long time since I originally took my GCSE (and got a C - can't believe it has come back to haunt me 3 decades later!)
So what exam boards do I need to look at to get GCSE maths in Wales? I am feeling a bit lost as to how to go about this as an adult! Would rather study independently to try to get through this in a quicker time.

Thanks for any help!

WJEC is the exam board for Wales, there are 2 separate maths GCSE’s now maths and numeracy. Check which one will need to do. Kids in school have to do both but you may just need to do one.
