Can anyone with DD's in South Hampstead High School advise about this school? I know it is academically excellent but I am mainly concerned to hear about how nurturing it is .Is it inclusive with girls coming from non-Jewish family? Thanks

Wow, ananas where are you getting your information about the school? How many Jewish girls do you think there are there exactly? That comment is quite open to misinterpretation...

Zinnia what do you mean? I do not know numbers of girls and it is not a problem for the family considering the place. However, unfortunately, there have been quite a lot of talk about this as an possible issue with social life at the school in different chats so just wanted to know from may be somebody with children there.

At that time it was about 60% Jewish, likely because of location, but it's not a religious school in the slightest.

No idea if it's changed but really wouldn't worry about it!

I am local to the school and know children who go there, but am not a parent there myself. I can tell you though that strictly Orthodox Jewish families - the only members of the Jewish community who can sometimes deliberately hold themselves apart from socialising with non-Jewish children - don't send their daughters to SHHS. If that's a concern, their children go to Jewish schools. "Talk" is not always well-informed. If you like the school it would be an odd reason to reject the place.

According to the most ISI report dated 2015 it says about 1/3 are of Jewish Faith. The report is available on SHHS's website. I live locally and say that the school predominately is made up of local girls mainly from the Hampstead area with a handful traveling in from further distances.

Your concerns are totally unfounded. This not an issue at all at SHHS, there is zero gettoism and no dominant groups unlike in some other schools I also know.
